Belly dance show 💃♫🇪🇸

Living in a remote village without the usual entertainment and distractions around seems to make you realize what is truly important in your life.

I naturally started dancing a lot at home and then the opportunity to perform at a nearby restaurant popped up during a casual conversation!

I wasn’t expecting this at all, I didn’t even bring dance wear or props with me this time, and I have less than a week to prepare 😂

But I’m enjoying the prepping, and If it wasn’t for the people helping me out all the time here, this wouldn’t have been possible 🫶

Maybe this place is where your inner call awakens and your dreams come true 😆💫??

いわゆる娯楽的なものや刺激がほぼない田舎の村に滞在しているからか、私の人生のフェーズなのか、特に最初の数週間は自然と内省することが多く……

そのおかげでいかにダンスが私にとって大切かに改めて気付かされ、家でいつも踊っていたら、今度は近くのレストランで踊る機会を与えられた✨

考えてみれば、こんなふうに「踊ってみる？」なんて気軽に声をかけてもらえたことは他の場所であっただろうか？？あ、インドのコミュニティ内ではあったか笑

当日まで1週間を切っていたというピースボート以上の無茶振りに笑いつつも、できることをやってとにかく楽しみます💃

実はこの村で少しずつ私の諦めかけていた夢が叶いそうな予感があり、離れられなくなるのでは？という恐怖に近い感情も芽生えている昨今……

This was a song I used for my belly dance students a long time ago, and we had the fan veils as the prop… so a bit different from dancing with a sarong in a limited space 😅

But it was still fun trying to make the most of what I have and can do now ✨

昔懐かしい曲で踊ってみた！ベリーダンスの生徒さん用に使った曲で、かつてはファンベールという華やかで大きな2つの布を使ったので、それと比べると物足りなさはあるかもしれないけど……

あるものを活用してできる最大限のことをするスタイルなので、天井のシャンデリアや後ろの植物を気にしながらもなんとか踊れた気がします😆

Is a birthday a day of destruction, and a beginning of renewal and transformation??
誕生日とは破壊からの再生、変化？（日本語は後半に）

It was my birthday yesterday(13th), and from midnight I had a terrible destruction in my immune system and suffered the whole day, to wake up today feeling quite normal as usual. What was that 😂?

Anyway, I’ve been in Spain from mid September, which is almost a month ago! How can time fly so fast?

It’s been rough, and I’ve become uncertain and started doubting many things I believed in and thought I wanted.

I’m still not sure if I’m just burnt out because of the intense few months I’ve spent, or facing some kind of transition in life… And I like to say “transition” because it sounds nice (way nicer than saying midlife crisis for sure 🙂‍↔️)

Either way, I probably needed to pause for a while, and I’m trying to accept and embrace this very uncomfortable situation for me. I’m so bad at stopping some people told me I’m a tuna lol 🐟

Where am I heading to? Like literally, am I staying in Spain until I have a clear answer? Going back to Ubud is in a way easy, but somehow it doesn’t seem like the solution now. I can entertain and distract myself easily there, and that’s not going to solve things…

All in all, I am blessed for being alive in such an uncertain and chaotic world, and maybe that’s enough for now. I’ll find a way again soon, and one day I’ll be looking back on the days I spent with the lovely people, cats and cows in Cantabria 😉

自分の誕生日を迎えた深夜に大変なお腹の状態に見舞われ、そのまま数年ぶりかの熱で当日はまるまるダウン。翌日起きたら幸いにも回復していました😅

そんな私はスペインに到着してからもうすぐ1ヶ月が経つという驚きの事態を迎え、今はスペインの谷底にある田舎の村になぜか住んでいる笑　そして一体いつまでいるんだろう？？

この1ヶ月は精神的にけっこう過酷で、これまで自分が良い・好きと思っていたことへの疑問が湧いてきたり、このままでいいのか？何かちがう気がする…… と立ち止まることを余儀なくされている。

数ヶ月間ひたすら突き進んできたから燃え尽きてしまい、休息が必要なだけなのか、また何か転換期を迎えているのか？

とにかく辛いけど少しゆっくりする必要があるのだなと、この状況を受け入れようと日々過ごしている。（止まれないマグロみたいだよねーと人に言われた笑）

こんな混沌とした世の中で生きているだけで丸もうけなんだよなと、この生をありがたく受け止める、そんな誕生日があってもいいのかなと思う。

そして振り返ったときに、今いる小さなコミュニティの愉快な人たちと猫、牛などとの暮らしを愛おしく思うのだろう🐈🐂

トランジションタウンの始まり、トットネスへ

Totnes is another place I’ve been hearing about for a couple of years, and finally had the chance to go this September! So this is where the “transition town” movement started, but what is that??

“in 2006 Totnes became the first ‘transition town’ which refers to grassroot community projects that aim to increase self-sufficiency to reduce the potential effects of oil production, climate destruction and economic instability.”

I heard how this town has gone through changes over the years, but at least these pics should show a bit of how it is now.

I did feel some similarity with my hometown Kamakura, and the characteristics that I tend to be intrigued to. The best part for me were the coffee shops and the local market 😍

ここ数年でずっと話に聞いていたトランジションタウンという草の根活動、そしてその始まりの地であるトットネスへ！

そもそもそれってどんな目的で始まったのか調べてみると

「2006年にトットネスは、石油生産、気候破壊、経済不安定の潜在的影響を軽減するために自給自足を高めることを目指す草の根コミュニティプロジェクトを指す最初の『トランジションタウン』になりました。」

とあった。

約20年の間で街の様子もだいぶ変わったと聞いたけど、とにかく今の姿は写真のような場所。私の地元と言える鎌倉に似たバイブスもあり、私が惹かれる点ってやっぱりこういうところだよねーと再確認。

カフェとマーケットが楽しかったなぁ！そして街中で知人と遭遇するところが鎌倉と同じ😝

Schumacher Wild and the lovely people ☺️🫶🌿

Although Schumacher College has changed its form since last year and going through a big transition, for me it was a great opportunity to see and understand the essence and spirit of it.

I went as a co-organizer of the program for our Japanese group, plus doing massages during the actual days which were hyper demanding and a lot of pressure…

I couldn’t be in the sessions as a participant that much, and I even thought I might collapse during the program. But thanks to this amazing group of people with such warm energy, I felt supported by each and every one of them ✨

It was a very difficult role to play, but grateful for being a part of this learning & unlearning journey!

今回私にとっては初の、そしてようやく叶ったシューマッハカレッジ。（現在は大きな転換期にあり、「シューマッハワイルド」になっています）

と言っても参加者としてではなく、企画者の1人として、さらに現地では通訳＆解説のソーヤー海のメンテナンス担当で、相当な重圧だった。

振り返ってみても、毎回のセッション内容は正直言ってあまり残っていない。それどころではなく、自身のウェルビーイングを保つので精一杯だった気がする。

でも！こうして写真を見ていると、みんなと過ごした毎日の瞬間瞬間が宝のようで、ここで出会えてともに時間を過ごせたことが何よりのギフトだなと思う☺️

いつかどこかで再会できる日を楽しみにしています！

サティシュ・クマールとの温かな時間

It has been almost a year since I met him last at Navdanya Biodiversity Farm in India, and so grateful to meet him again!

His love and devotion in changing the current education and system to a world where people live in peace with themselves, others and nature is always truly inspiring and powerful.

I love how his words are beautiful like poetry, and his energy really touches me. Satish is definitely one of my greatest teachers of how I want to “be”.

But I don’t want to put him on a pedestal, for me he’s like the grandpa you are excited to visit every year to hear his life stories and just be around him ☺️

I hope I can see you again next year Satish, and until then I will continue my pilgrimage and be a creator of beauty and love ❤️

去年インドのナブダーニャファームでの「ガンジーと3つの平和」講座以来、約1年ぶりに会えたサティシュ。

相変わらずの愛と情熱溢れる言葉、89歳になったとは思えないパワフルさ、その存在とあり方をしっかりまた浴びて、充電させてもらった感じ！

私の人生の中でも間違いなく影響力のある先生の1人であり、かつ毎年会いに行きたい親戚か近所のおじいちゃんのような親しみやすさもあり……

また来年もどこかで会えるといいなと願いながら、それまでは私もサティシュのようにとまでは到底いかないけど、巡礼の旅を続けながら「美と愛の創造者」として生きたいと思います💐

イギリスでのシューマッハワイルドプログラム中の「手」を使った豊かなひととき

During our Schumacher Wild course for the Japanese group in Devon, we had time for “shramdaan”, voluntary contribution of labor every day.

What makes Schumacher special is that we live together as a small community, and the learning is based on “head, heart, hands” - which Satish Kumar emphasizes as the model for holistic higher education.

Unfortunately this was the only time I could take part in it, but it was a creative and nourishing time for me, and I realized how much I enjoy this 🌿

This time Satish was saying over and over how important “beauty” is, and that our crisis is a crisis of “aesthetics”… which has deeply struck me.

シューマッハや去年行ったインドのナブダーニャ農園でのプログラムでは、みんなで共同生活をしながらインドで「Shramdaan」と呼ばれる奉仕の時間のようなものがセッションの合間にある。

それはサティシュが大切にしている「head 頭・heart 心・hands 手」の中の「手」にあたるものかなーと🙌

今回は自分の役割の関係上このフラワーアレンジメントにしか参加できなかったけど、ワクワクしながら花を摘み、一緒にやった参加者さんたちともワイワイ写真撮影を楽しみました🌼

今回のプログラム中、サティシュはしきりに「美」の大切さを語っていて、私の心に一番響いたことだった。現代社会で私たちが直面している危機は、美学の欠如によるものだと。

「美」というものはとても感覚的で個々人によっても異なるかもしれないけど、でもおそらく共通するものも多くあるはずで。「美しい」と感じる心を育み、それを表現していきたいなぁと思う😌

We met a day before the @schumachercollege program for our Japanese group started, for a team check in and last minute meetings.

The farm cafe we went for lunch and shopping was nice, and our Airbnb was amazing with a beautiful view and walk by the river 🌿✨

It was a lovely way to spend some slow time together before the super intense 7 day program 😆

シューマッハワイルドの日本人向けプログラムの開始前に、今回の企画メンバーひろし&海と1泊してチェックインやミーティングの時間を。

ランチと買い物をしたファームカフェも、滞在したエアビーもその周辺環境も素敵でした☺️

こうして写真を振り返ると、改めてこのメンバーでイギリス、そしてシューマッハに行けてよかったなぁと思う！

しかしこのあとの7日間プログラムは、相当ハードだったなぁ…… そして濃厚すぎて、どう振り返れば良いのやら笑

それはまたおいおい！

I feel like I can keep on posting photos of my favorite spots in Paris, but I’m going to make this my last for now and move on to the UK.

I was captivated by the beauty of this city every day, and felt so content there. Maybe it resonated with my aesthetics, source of inspiration and happiness?

This trip opened a new world for me, or maybe opened a door I forgot that existed. Either way, it feels like quite another transition. Let’s see where this leads to 🪽

こんなに好きになるとは予想していなかったけど、私の美意識や喜びの源みたいなものとピタッとハマったのか、とにかく毎日幸せを感じる環境だった。

これが今後どう流れつながっていくかまだわからないけど、見方や生き方そのものが変わるきっかけになったかもしれないような。

焦らず時間をかけて自分の今後を見守っていきたいと思います😌次はイギリスを振り返ります！

Strolling, laughing, and falling in love with life more!

It’s not that often I have my photos taken like this, but with such picturesque views and a good photographer & tour guide, how can I resist?? (merci ❤️)

But you can tell how hard it was to get a photo on this first spot, it was full of similar people 😆

Anyway, it was great to experience all these so Paris spots with the history being shared along the way, and of course I sung “Les Champs-Élysées” ♫

(I feel bad that the green pepper I used for dinner was actually chili though… it was brutal 🥵😂)

最後の週末にザ定番すぎるパリの観光スポットをめぐり、しかもこんなに毎回写真を各所で撮り、相当パリを満喫したなと改めて我ながら思う笑

しばらく休みなしで働いていた気がするし、自分への良いご褒美になりました✨
