This is an unexpected session I had at the accommodation in Lombok with my host. He saw me carrying a guitar, and invited me to play some music together 😊

An Indonesian and a Japanese singing an Arabic phrase that means “peace” together… and we just met this day!

I truly believe that music can transcend borders, languages, religions etc, and we can have such a warm moment like this 🧡

私がロンボクを旅していた際、泊まった宿のホストと急遽始まったセッションの様子。私がギターを持っていたのを見て、一緒に演奏しようよ！と誘ってくれた。（この動画では私は歌のみだけど😅）

インドネシア人と日本人が、アラビア語で「平和」を意味するフレーズを歌っている。しかも出会ったその日に。

音楽はこうやって国境や言語、宗教等を越えて、温かい時間をともにするのを可能にすると私は信じている✨

After making our canang sari, we brought it to the water temple as offerings, praying for each god and receiving holy water as blessings.

First time was in the rain, and second was so sunny and bright! I’m lucky to have experienced both ☺️ Lord Shiva looked amazing ✨

先日訪れたクレチュン村にて。チャナンサリというお供え物を作ってから、それをすぐ近くにある水寺に持参してお供えしてきました。

それぞれの神のところで聖水を浴び、お祈りして一周。1番大きい、中央にそびえ立つのはシヴァ神。なんと神々しい！

Finished two programs 🌿✌️🇮🇩

Came back to Bali, three weeks passed, and I finished interpreting for two Japanese groups that came to learn about REGENERATION.

Although these programs can be quite demanding at times, it’s an honor to be the bridge of languages, cultures, ideas, hopes and dreams ✨

I’ll share some more in the following posts, but in the meantime I need time to recover since I have discomfort in my belly 🥹

Btw… someone asked me “why do Japanese people do ✌️in photos?”… I have no idea how it became our culture lol

バリに戻ってきて3週間。この間に、日本から来た社会人や学生たちのプログラム2つの通訳をやらせてもらった。

「リジェネレーション」にまつわる素晴らしい取り組みがバリにはたくさんあって、リーダーたちの思いや情熱の橋渡しとなれるのは本当に光栄なこと！

また追ってそれらの写真も紹介したい！でもまずは少し休息を取ります😅お腹やられたー

ところで、なんで日本人って写真でピースするようになったんだろう？前に誰かに聞かれたんだけど、理由はわからず笑

Starting something new 🥰

Who thought that I would be playing the guitar someday?? I definitely didn’t until I was actually given this guitar from my DUP mentor Chiyo last month!

Yesterday was my first group class with other friends from DUP Japan, and we learned my favorite song “Kyrie Eleison”. It’s so fun I can’t stop practicing ❤️

So this is my very first post, and I’m posting believing that I will get better and better! I love new challenges and life with music!

まさか私がギターを手にする、そして弾き語りをする日が来るなんて、本人も予想していませんでした！私のメンターになってくれた千代ちゃんに授けてもらった✨

指が届かなくて変な動きと顔になったり、手首を使っちゃったり、いろいろ起きているけど、とにかく昨日の初レッスンで学んだことを必死にやってみた動画。

これからどんどん上達するはずなので笑、記念すべき1番下手くそな動画になるはず😆

2026年もたくさん新しいことに挑戦する1年になるのは間違いないし、とにかく楽しくて仕方ない！音楽とともにある暮らし、最高だ🎵

During my short stay in Japan, I had the chance to attend Chiyo’s DUP circle in Hadano ❄️

It was such a heart-warming (and also really immersive) circle and I’m so glad I went! Thank you for welcoming me and big hugs to you all!!

Singing and dancing to the beautiful, sacred lyrics and melodies of DUP have become my passion, it brings so much peace within me. I’m happy to have finally followed my heart and decided to walk this path 🌈

短い日本滞在の間に運良く秦野で千代ちゃん主催のDUPサークルがあり、雪降る中参加してきた。

2024年のマリカワークショップで出会った人、先月のタイでのインターナショナルキャンプをともに過ごした仲間、そして初めましての人も。

みんなあったかく、ものすごい没入感のあるサークルで、千代ちゃんリードもたっぷり味わえ、行けて本当によかった💖

ようやくしっかり心の声に従い、キャンプにも参加し、この美しい歌と踊りと瞑想から成る愛・平和・調和の道を本格的に歩んでいくことにした。

ありがとう、そしてこれからもよろしくね！

First I just want to celebrate…
YAY!!!! We did it!!!!

It was a long and rough journey, and it couldn’t have happened without the support of friends who worked from scratch for this program in Udaipur to come true 🫶 Thank you for passing the torch to me!

So so grateful to the Indian team, the participants, our small Japanese team… and our friendship.

Reuniting with Nao and Kai at Udaipur was something beyond words can describe 🌅

ウダイプル振り返り、まずはこのプログラムが無事できたことをお祝いしたい。そして実現に向けて私の前から動いていて支えてくれた仲間たちに感謝を🙏

この活動は本当にたくさんの人たちの応援で成り立っていて、それは見えるもの見えないものも含めてで……

菜央・海・ロミーの3人でこうしてウダイプルでお茶しながら夕陽を眺めていた時間に、全てが凝縮している気がする😭

タイのバンコク振り返り・主に食べ物！

I posted a bit about the Dances of Universal Peace International Camp before, but didn’t have time to share some fun moments of city life!

I thought I don’t like cities in general and the chaos of Bangkok honestly, but this time I got used to it and could enjoy it more 😝 A big thanks to my friends there!!

※the first cafe is actually in Nonthaburi, next to Bangkok. This place was amazing, and it’s so nice to share dishes with a group of people ✨

バンコクはごちゃごちゃ過ぎて好きじゃないと思っていたのに、今回はなぜか楽しめるようになってきて、その大きな理由は美味しいお店に行けたからかもしれない！やはり食は旅の醍醐味💛

そして現地に住む友人たちの一部とも再会でき、バンコクが安心してふらっと立ち寄れる都市になってきたのも嬉しい。このとき、この先もたびたび行くことになる予感がしたんだったなぁ……

If I was to choose one word, one need that I want to fulfill this year, it might be “authenticity”. To be authentic, true to myself.

So I’m hoping to reclaim more time for self expression and creativity, because that’s one of the things I love to do most 😊

And just soften, melt in the music, feel good being in my own body!

Toward the one

There is no way I can summarize this experience in one post, so to make it short…

Deep gratitude to our beloved mentors and the Thai organizing team for their big love and dedication, the presence of members from my home country Japan, and everyone that I shared this deep journey with.

240 people from 25 countries! What a big family 😁

Going to the camp wasn’t an easy path for me, and the camp itself wasn’t easy at all. I was frustrated with myself sometimes, and although I did the best I can then, I also have some regrets and feel like I could’ve done better.

But all in all, I’m so glad that I finally followed my inner voice and allowed myself to be a part of this. It truly opened my heart more 💖

This will be a life-long learning journey, and I am happy to be on this path with all these beautiful souls from all over the world. What a hope this is in such difficult times!

Big hugs and love to all of you 🫶

Other sides of Istanbul 🇹🇷🌈☕️

Besides enjoying the historical mosques and touristy atmosphere of this beautiful city, I walked around to check out some neighborhoods and cafes.

(yes, I did a bit of research for potential areas to stay longer next time 😎)

Asian side: Kadiköy, Üsküdar, Kuzguncuk
European side: Karaköy

I fell in love with Kuzguncuk 😍 And overall there were so many cafes I could work from, good coffees, a lot of fruit stands and organic shops etc…

Some areas I really had a homey feeling, and also being surrounded by the ocean just makes me relax.

I couldn’t stop singing this song while walking around. I think I danced to it a long time ago in the beginning of my belly dancing days 💃

イスタンブールの別の顔。美しいモスクを始めとするいわゆる観光名所以外にも、できる限りのリサーチをしてきた（次回もっと長期滞在したいかもしれないし！）。

彩り豊かな建物と街並み、ゆっくり1人の時間が過ごせるカフェ、美味しそうなフルーツがたくさん並ぶショップなど……

何ヶ所か自分が住んでいるイメージができた場所があり、落ち着く地元みたいな感覚が湧いてきた。イスタンブール暮らしもいいかも？と夢を膨らませています😁次は2週間くらい滞在したいなぁ！
