Entering October with positive girl energy, with my roomies at Swaraj ✨

After a whole month in India of intense events directing me towards my path, being sick, many emotions coming out, big decisions to make and letting go… I finally feel like myself again 😌

What I faced was that you just can’t have everything. I had to decide on what is truly important in my life, and let go of some things… which hurt and was a tough process.

But I will follow my heart, and that’s the only way. So I will be in India for another two months or so ❤️‍🔥

9月は丸々インドで過ごし、人生の方向性を指し示すような出来事と体調不良、さまざまな感情、大きな決断と手放し…… と強烈なひと月を終えて、ようやく自分に帰ってきた感覚で10月を迎えました。

「全ては手に入らない」という当たり前なことを再認識して、本当に大切なことを選んで他の道を手放すこととなり、それはどうしても痛みを伴うものだったけど……

心の声に従って生きる、という生き方しかもやはできないから、自分を信じて進みます。というわけで、インド滞在、あと2ヶ月強続くよ！

The beginning of another adventure in India!

My fourth time in this country, third time in Udaipur. Felt like I came back home thanks to the friends here!

I’m posting some photos from the first week or so here, which happened to be the time of a pilgrimage (the people walking with colorful flags) and Krishna’s birthday (the neon temple) ✨

4度目のインド、3度目のウダイプル。8月末に到着し、友人たちのおかげですっかり「おうちに帰ってきた」感に包まれた。

今回の写真は最初の1週間ちょっとの風景。ちょうど巡礼している人たちに何度も出くわしたり、クリシュナの誕生日でお寺がライトアップされているのが見られ、あーインドに来たなぁとしみじみ。

Another memorable day this summer… After I got off Peace Boat, I had the chance to go to Chiyo’s DUP circle again! So nice to see familiar faces, and also newcomers too ☺️ Happy that I have a place to go back to every time I’m in Japan ✨

この夏のもう一つの思い出。ピースボートを終えたあと、ちょうど私のメンター @chiyohiraoka のサークルにまた参加できた！1月に続き、今回も行けて本当によかった！みんなの温かさ、ここに帰って来れるんだという安心感にとっても感謝です💛

So far you can only read it in Japanese (sorry!), but I wrote how the sunset I saw here in India made me think of her and my memories in the village.

I am always inspired by her project @ecovillagekelecung and touched by the people there, it truly is a special place for me 🫶 And when I think of Aniek and Kelecung, it is a reminder for me that there is something I can do to make a regenerative future.

Wrapping up the second half of the voyage on Peace Boat around Japan cruise

no.12-14 Hakodate, Hokkaido 函館
no.16-20 Ishinomaki, Miyagi 石巻

Ishinomaki is the area most affected by the tsunami in 2011. It was devastating to see the field where there used to be houses that were all washed away… And reading the testimony of survivors made it all feel so real.

I still can’t put into words but grateful for the opportunity to visit Ishinomaki as our last port of call.

ピースボート日本一周クルーズ後半、寄港地を中心にまとめて投稿します。最後の数枚は、2011年の地震及び津波で被災した石巻市。

津波にのまれてしまった場所に立っているときの感覚、被災した小学校から見た景色、被災者の証言…… うまく言葉にはできないけど、私の中には体感として残り続けるだろう。

MAIZURU, KYOTO 🏝️🇯🇵⛰️
This place was so beyond my expectations, and I think I’m giving it first place for the port of calls we had during the short cruise on Peace Boat!

Who thought that Kyoto had such clear blue water?? I am so glad I went to this beach with my bikini on 😝

And this local train with the view of rice fields, mountains and the ocean… what a great surprise! This is the kind of Japan I like and would love for my international friends to experience some day ✨

今回のピースボート日本一周で寄港地はどこが1番好きだったかと聞かれたら、間違いなく答えるのが…… まさかの？京都の舞鶴！

ご本人にも伝えたけど、クルーズディレクターたなおさんとの朝のちょっとした会話のおかげで、想像していなかった体験ができた場所です🚢

私は日本の素朴な自然のある風景が好きだし、舞鶴に船が着いて外に出たときからホッとする感覚があって、特に午前中行った天橋立のビーチと電車が最高でした🩵

（え？と思われそうだけど、海で満足したのと暑くてリフトに乗らず、上から日本の三大絶景は眺めてない笑　次回に取っておきます！）

A glimpse of one of the biggest onboard events on Peace Boat, and a taste of the typical festival scenes in Japan!

Two weeks have already passed since I disembarked, and I miss these moments with my colleagues that were always full of laughter 🥹

ピースボートのショートクルーズを終えて下船し、早2週間が経過！恋しく思い出すのは、やっぱりこの仲間たちと過ごしたいろんな時間のこと。

いつも笑いが絶えなくて、改めて振り返るとほんとピースボートって「青春」感が半端ないなと思う😝

ただ写真撮っているだけなのに、異常な盛り上がり方しちゃうよね笑これはクルーズの中盤頃にあった、洋上夏祭りの様子🌻（なぜか1枚目、3人とも黄色帯！）

Second time to be in Nagasaki in my life.

The first three pics are from @kariomonscoffee_store and really happy to finally visit! And the coffee is from a farm in Ecuador @casarumisitana that we are trying to support in their forest conservation project at @bringmeshonan 🌳☕️

Then I found an art exhibition by artists from Nagasaki, Hiroshima and Palestine, had vegan noodles with my colleague, and walked a bit of the nostalgic hill I visited years ago 😁

Thanks for bringing me here Peace Boat!! Many dots connecting which helps find meaning in what I do ✨

人生2度目の長崎訪問！まずはブリングミーのつながりでカリオモンズさんに行ったら、光氏が買い付けていて、自然保護支援を最近始めたエクアドルの農園の豆があった🥹

そして散歩していたらたまたま長崎・広島・パレスチナのアーティストの展示を発見したり。ビーガン長崎チャンポンが食べられたり😋

外に出たら、偶然にもそこは大昔修学旅行で訪れ、カステラの試食をたくさんした坂だった笑

こうやって、私の人生のいろんな点と点がつながるような長崎での1日。最後にたまたま見えた夕焼けもまた美しかったなぁ。

A short clip of the DUP circle I held on Peace Boat! Such a perfect place to hold hands, sing and dance together and make a circle of peace ☺️

So grateful for the opportunity, for the passengers that joined me, my colleague @derrickt_t that supported me with his presence, guitar and filming…

And to my mentor @chiyohiraoka for always being there, and to the many others that are also on this path 🌈 It was truly a warm, peaceful and also fun time and I’m glad I did it!

Hanging out with my friend who I haven’t seen for a few years, going to cafes, swimming, and having endless chats!

久々の沖縄本島に寄港！那覇近くに引っ越した友人と数年ぶりに再会し、しゃべり倒した1日😆カフェめぐりと海で泳いだりもできて、沖縄の夏をぎゅっと短時間で楽しんできました！

今度はゆっくり本島と島々をめぐりながら、散らばる友人たちにも会えたら嬉しいなぁ。

This is my second visit to Taiwan, and luckily I got to go to this former gold mining town nestled in the misty hills. And also lucky to find a good coffee shop 😉

20年ぶりくらい、2度目の台湾はまさにこんな提灯と坂からの景色で有名になったであろう九份へ。酷暑の中歩き回り、美味しいアイスオーツミルクラテが沁みた☕️

Our first port of call, Hiroshima

A city that carries one of humanity’s heaviest memories, and yet radiates such warmth and resilience. This is my second time here, and coming as part of a peace voyage feels very meaningful to me.

We will also visit Nagasaki, and our final day falls on August 15… Japan’s day of remembrance for the end of the war.

The day the first atomic bomb was dropped is coming in a few days. What happened here must never be forgotten and never repeated.

And as a Japanese, I feel I have the role of keep telling the story and also passing this on to the next generation🕊️

最初の寄港地は、広島。
ピースボートでここに来れたこと、そしてこのあと長崎も訪れ、航海の最終日は、8月15日であるということは、ものすごく象徴的だなと思っている。

ここで起きたことを私たちは忘れてはいけないし、二度と繰り返してはいけない。1人の日本人として、伝え続けていくことが大切だなと改めて思った1日だった。

ー海を越え、つながり広がる平和の輪ー
