I’ve been captivated by Islamic architecture from a long time ago, and this was another place I’ve dreamed of visiting. Being there I was just in awe of the beautiful tilework, calligraphy, and the carved ceilings… so amazing!!!

The view of Albaicín and the snow capped Sierra Nevada was spectacular as well. Can’t get enough of Granada.

(I was with a Japanese girl learning flamenco during the tour!)

I used to learn flamenco a long time ago, and since I was staying in the country of its birthplace I went to see the performance in a cave at Sacromonte. These professionals were so intense and powerful!!

And Albaicín was such a mystical place, I would love to walk around this area again 🇪🇸⛰️

A dream come true!

Visiting Andalusia was one of my dreams (since I was a teenager!!), but life went on without the chance to, and I almost even forgot about it.

When I actually came to Spain, it was the northern side and didn’t look like what I had in mind 😆🐂

My last days in Spain were approaching, and realized I should make my dream come true now. So I did!

This little beautiful village is probably one of the places I wanted to visit. I even have several magazines at home (in Japan) that highlighted it.

I didn’t do much research and just went there, which made it even more wonderful. I was in awe of the breathtaking scenery of these cute houses, the hills and the sea. And it amazed me how the people take care of their homes and surroundings like this.

Maybe sometimes it’s better to let go, and life will guide you there at the best time 🙏 (and also allow yourself to make it happen, which was really empowering!)

スペイン北部にふらりとたどり着いて2ヶ月も滞在し、それはそれで暮らすにはよかったけど、そういえばアンダルシアに行きたいという長年の夢があった！……と思い出して実現させた南部への旅☀️

もちろん薄ら脳内にはあったものの、今回行くかどうか少し迷った。北から南への1,000kmに及ぶ大移動だし、なぜか「そんなに楽しんでいいのか？」という罪悪感まで湧いてくる始末。

でも、来年本当にまたスペインに戻ってくるか判断する上でも南を少し見ておきたい。何よりも昔から縁を感じていた場所なだけに、やっぱり行こう！と決めた。

そして泊まっていたマラガから日帰りでパッと行けるとわかり、スペインで最も美しい村と言われているフリヒリアナへ🌺

鎌倉の母宅にアンダルシア特集の雑誌が数冊保管されているほどに、20年以上も憧れを抱き続けてきた場所！ただただ美しく、うっとりしながら数時間を過ごした。

深い理由や目的もなく、ただ心が動くからやる。シンプルなようで躊躇していた自分に気づき、それをただ自分のために叶えられたことが嬉しい😊

A whole two months of co-living in Casa Ubuntu has come to an end(for now).
2ヶ月に及ぶスペイン北部でのコミュニティ暮らし、一旦終了（日本語は後半に）

I jumped into this new experimental community by intuition, and had no idea I would be staying for so long… what happened 😆

There were a LOT going on in the house, community, and my personal life all the time and honestly it wasn’t at all easy!

But there was always someone around to have a brief chat or share a meal, and at times have deep conversations with… and this place became my home 🫶

I’ll probably post more photos of the highlights soon, but it’s really the everyday little things that are so beautiful and special to me. I’m already missing the kitchen and hallway 😭

One of my loving teachers, Satish’s book “Earth Pilgrim” was with me the whole time, and I’m surprised to see how this picture looks so much like our valley ⛰️

I’ll share some of his words that seem perfect now for me and perhaps Ubuntu:

英語だけで長文になってしまった笑
シェアハウスやコミュニティ、エコビレッジ的な暮らしというのは毎日が試練だらけなのかもしれない。

お互いの悩みを聞き合ったり、こんなのやってられないよって思うこともときにはあったり、ただ日常の些細な瞬間を共有して泣いたり笑ったり、本当にいろいろあった。しかも私にとっては外国だし！

でも苦しかったこともひっくるめてこの2ヶ月の経験が愛おしく、ありがたく、たくさんの学びがあり、乗り越えてよかった😌また少し逞しくなったかな？？

サティシュの本にもあったように、評価や拒絶、批判ではなく受け入れることで、そこから調和が生まれること。そして多様性を愛することを心に留め、これからも歩み続けたいと思う。

Although the Schumacher program and meeting many new people and reunions were all very fruitful, my days in the UK were overwhelming and I was totally burnt out…

So a few days alone in a city I first visited was a breather that I really needed! I spent two and a half days mostly walking around and going to coffee shops and eating pinchos 😆

And honestly… the heat and sun after spending almost 2 weeks in the UK felt so good ☀️ (the weather was fluctuating everyday and I can’t handle that well lol)

I didn’t really have Madrid on my bucket list (Spain itself, I did for sure!), but the opportunity to visit came to me, and looking back at these photos I think I do like it there ❤️

もうすぐ2ヶ月も前になるスペインのマドリッドを初めて訪れたときの写真、まずは好きだった場所やちょっとした風景編。

濃厚なシューマッハプログラムやトットネス、ロンドンでの新たな出会いなどを経てすっかり消耗していたので、大都会で1人ひたすら徘徊してカフェを巡る時間は必要でした！

実はスペイン本土？メインランドに足を踏み入れたのはこれが初で（去年1日だけ訪れたラスパルマスはスペインの島でほぼアフリカ）、高校時代から憧れて行ってみたい国だったのにあまりに行く機会を逃してしまったからか、今回あっさり上陸🤣

しかもマドリッドから入る？っていう気もするけど笑、これも不思議なご縁ということで🇪🇸

The last song for my belly dance show, followed by amazing body percussion + a cappella etc by the young Korean group Nomad Village, and even a local multi talented musician. What a show!!

The song “Esta Vida (This Life)” conveys what I think is the essence of life. I love the simplicity and the joy it brings!

So grateful for all the people that made this happen and was there for me. It’s been an emotional roller coaster recently and some days have been rough, but yes, life is beautiful for sure ❤️

先日の私のベリーダンスショー最後の曲と、そのあとに続いた若手韓国人グループと地元のアーティストによるパフォーマンス！

いわゆるベリーダンスで言うところのディスコタイムにしたこの曲は、スペイン語で「朝の匂いやコーヒーの味が好きだ。ときには悲しいことや辛いこともあるけど、でも、あーなんて人生は美しいんだろう！」と歌っている（超ざっくりまとめ）。

私も人生の本質はそれだと思っていて、ここ最近は特にいろいろあってしんどいときもあるけど……

この曲との出会いもだし、このショーの実現を支えてくれたみんなに感謝でいっぱいです☺️

Maybe this song is getting too “kawaii” for me so it might be the last time to use it though hahaha 😆

This marks the first time that I dance in Spain, and what an amazing setting it was with so many people, a full PA system with a musician and even stage lights, my manager and friends etc etc 😍

The song is from a performance I did in 2020, but this time without a veil and some updates and improvising. I loved the whole ambience here ✨

Belly dance show 💃♫🇪🇸

Living in a remote village without the usual entertainment and distractions around seems to make you realize what is truly important in your life.

I naturally started dancing a lot at home and then the opportunity to perform at a nearby restaurant popped up during a casual conversation!

I wasn’t expecting this at all, I didn’t even bring dance wear or props with me this time, and I have less than a week to prepare 😂

But I’m enjoying the prepping, and If it wasn’t for the people helping me out all the time here, this wouldn’t have been possible 🫶

Maybe this place is where your inner call awakens and your dreams come true 😆💫??

いわゆる娯楽的なものや刺激がほぼない田舎の村に滞在しているからか、私の人生のフェーズなのか、特に最初の数週間は自然と内省することが多く……

そのおかげでいかにダンスが私にとって大切かに改めて気付かされ、家でいつも踊っていたら、今度は近くのレストランで踊る機会を与えられた✨

考えてみれば、こんなふうに「踊ってみる？」なんて気軽に声をかけてもらえたことは他の場所であっただろうか？？あ、インドのコミュニティ内ではあったか笑

当日まで1週間を切っていたというピースボート以上の無茶振りに笑いつつも、できることをやってとにかく楽しみます💃

実はこの村で少しずつ私の諦めかけていた夢が叶いそうな予感があり、離れられなくなるのでは？という恐怖に近い感情も芽生えている昨今……

This was a song I used for my belly dance students a long time ago, and we had the fan veils as the prop… so a bit different from dancing with a sarong in a limited space 😅

But it was still fun trying to make the most of what I have and can do now ✨

昔懐かしい曲で踊ってみた！ベリーダンスの生徒さん用に使った曲で、かつてはファンベールという華やかで大きな2つの布を使ったので、それと比べると物足りなさはあるかもしれないけど……

あるものを活用してできる最大限のことをするスタイルなので、天井のシャンデリアや後ろの植物を気にしながらもなんとか踊れた気がします😆
